Cannabis is a plant native to the Himalayas that is cultivated in its infancy as a source of textile fibre, oil seeds, food and medicinal use, and, because of its highly addictive properties, people began using it indiscriminately.
There are three types that are classified according to the way they are consumed or processed, known as:
- Marijuana, prepared with dried leaves and flowers.
- Hash, prepared from the resin that the plant secretes or resin obtained by boiling the plant.
- Hash oil, extracted from the distillation of the plant in organic solvents.
There is a solid form of cocaine in crystal form (crack) that is consumed by smoking it.
