Hepatitis is an inflammatory disease of the liver tissue.
There are multiple causes, from drugs, to microorganisms like viruses (HCV, HBV, CMV), toxins such as alcohol, to autoimmune diseases where the body produces antibodies against the liver.
The most common symptoms are fatigue, abdominal pain, dark urine (choluria), jaundice (yellow skin and conjunctivae), decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting and/or fever.
