Breast cancer

Malignant tumour

A malignant tumour occurs when the normal growth of the organism gets out of control. The "degenerate" cells multiply uncontrollably and destroy surrounding tissue.

  1. Lobular ducts
  2. Glandular tissue
  3. Tumour

Breast cancer usually originates in the cells of the lobules, which are glands that produce milk, or in the ducts, which is where the milk is transported from the lobules to the nipple.
