The vaginal ring is a hormonal method, like the pill, although it is used differently.
It is a flexible ring that the woman places inside the vagina, which continuously releases female hormones. The treatment lasts 4 weeks: the woman wears the ring for the first three weeks and takes it out at the end of the third week so that her body can rest during the fourth week. Your doctor will advise you regarding how to use the vaginal ring.
As with the pill, it does not prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
